Volkswagen reports that PowerCo, its battery company, has confirmed 'beyond expectations' results from its American partner QuantumScape's solid-state battery, also known as a 'solid-state battery'. The latter would thus retain more than 95% of its capacity after more than 1000 recharge cycles, suggesting a potential range of electric car batteries of more than 500,000 km without notable loss.
